Welcome to LuAnn McLane’s Website Members Only area!

Shhh…   listen up, here‘s the dish on future books for members only.

Next October I’ll be in a Christmas anthology with friends Janice Maynard and Susanna Carr.  My novella is called Hot Whisper and here is a sneak peak:

After an exhausting business trip to Denver, Colorado Claire Collins is hustling to get home for the holidays.  When weather cancels all flights she opts to catch a train to the closest major airport.  The plan goes awry when during short stop in Whisper, Colorado, Claire is busy admiring a gorgeous Santa carved by famous local craftsman Jesse Marshall and is left behind.  Apparently when they blow the whistle, they mean business.  The next train isn’t due back through Whisper for a week and to make matters worse a snowstorm is swiftly approaching.

Claire is told there’s no hotel in the tiny town, not even a bed and breakfast and when she suddenly realizes that her luggage is still on the train, she starts to panic.  Two days before Christmas she is stranded in the middle of nowhere with only her purse and the clothes on her back.  She is, she thinks with hysterical Christmas humor, scrooged.

Jesse is not in a good mood when he stops at the train station to pick up his Santa carving.  Although he’s grateful for his success last minute orders have left him exhausted and quite frankly, sick of everything Christmas.  The impending storm has ruined his tropical destination travel plans leaving him to stock up on groceries amidst all the other shoppers fighting for the last loaf of bread.  And then incredibly, when Jesse enters the train station a gorgeous redhead is clutching his carving of Father Christmas while appearing ready to have a meltdown.  When he learns she is stranded he has no choice but to offer her shelter from the storm and she reluctantly agrees.

Sharing his home with a complete stranger is awkward at first until spiked eggnog brings out some Christmas cheer that leads to a sexy interlude that blows them both away.  They chop down a tree and create a makeshift but magical Christmas followed by a week of passionate bliss in a winter wonderland that seems suspended in time.  But when the train comes back to Whisper will the passion end or become the Christmas gift of a lifetime?

I’m also thrilled to announce that I’ll be going back to my Hot Summer Nights baseball roots with a three book trilogy!  Baseball is the backdrop for this southern bent series set in Cricket Creek, Kentucky where three hometown heroes save the town from its financial woes and manage to find love along the way.  The heroes will be the focus in this hot southern series beginning with Noah Falcon.  Here is a sneak peak at book one:

When tough economic times has the local inns and shops of Cricket Creek, Kentucky scrambling for business the answer to their prayers comes roaring into town in a candy apple red corvette.  Ex-ace pitcher turned soap opera star Noah Falcon saves the community theatre from closing its doors when he agrees to star in the new production, but what he doesn’t bargain for is falling for his local leading lady, Olivia Lawson.  He’s thinking of building a baseball complex and settling down in Cricket Creek but when the successful run ends and unexpected offer has Noah choosing between love and the lure of the limelight and in the end must decide what matters most…
